Assistant Key Accounts Manager

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Assistant Key Accounts Manager in Modern Trade  who is passionate about building strong customer relationships and driving business growth. 

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Client Relationship Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with regional Modern Trade accounts. 
  • Understand customer business objectives and develop growth strategies. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the accounts and internal cross-functional teams. 
  • Ensure timely resolution of account queries, service issues, and operational challenges. Account Planning: 
  • Develop annual and quarterly business plans for assigned Modern Trade accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for new product listings, promotions, and category expansion.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to execute account  strategies. 
  • Drive sales growth while ensuring profitability. 

Communication & Negotiation: 

  • Present product portfolios, promotional plans, and business proposals to customers.
  •  Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, trade promotions, and annual business plans. 
  • Build collaborative partnerships to achieve mutual business objectives.
  • Resolve commercial and operational issues effectively. 

Sales & Supply Chain Coordination: 

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure  timely order fulfilment. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure product availability across stores. 
  • Minimise stock-outs and optimise replenishment planning. 
  • Track purchase orders, deliveries, and promotional execution. 

Performance Tracking & Reporting: 

  • Monitor sales performance, account profitability, product availability, and customer service  levels. 
  • Analyse sales trends, category performance, and promotional effectiveness. 
  • Recommend corrective actions to improve business performance. 

Market Analysis & Strategy Development: 

  • Stay updated on retail trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights. 
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing Modern Trade accounts. 
  • Work closely with the Marketing team on in-store promotions, visibility initiatives, and  product launches. 
  • Develop strategies to increase market share within assigned accounts. 

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE: 

  • 2+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Modern Trade Sales, or FMCG Sales.
  • Experience handling Modern Trade accounts such as, Spencer’s, Lulu, Spar or similar  organised retail chains is plus 
  • Strong communication, relationship management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/ERP systems. 
  • Strong analytical, planning, and business management skills. 
  • Experience managing annual business plans (ABPs), trade promotions, and customer  negotiations. 

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • MBA in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, Personal Care, or Retail industry.
  • Good understanding of Modern Trade operations, category management, sales planning,  inventory management, and supply chain coordination.

Area Sales Manager( HoReCa)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for an experienced and target-oriented sales professional to drive B2B sales across the HoReCa segment. The role will focus on generating new business opportunities, driving business development and delivering revenue growth across the assigned market. This role will focus on expanding the HORECA customer base, strengthening existing business relationships and driving sustainable sales growth across the territory.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Drive sales and revenue growth across the assigned territory, achieving targets related to sales volume, value, market penetration, and market share.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across hotels, restaurants, cafés, caterers, cloud kitchens, institutions and other HORECA accounts.
  • Generate and convert leads through market outreach, customer referrals, networking, exhibitions and other business development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key HORECA stakeholders, including chefs, procurement teams, purchase managers, F&B managers, catering managers, business owners and other decision-makers.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions while ensuring commercial viability and profitability.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, business reviews, and periodic performance reports for management review.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product presence, cross-sell, and grow the share of business across existing and new accounts.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, stockists, dealers, and other channel partners to ensure effective market coverage.
  • Lead commercial discussions, pricing negotiations and customer proposals within defined business guidelines.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure product availability, timely deliveries and smooth customer servicing.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by proactively addressing customer queries, service concerns, and operational issues.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, pricing, product offerings, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
  • Review sales performance, customer growth, product performance, and territory-level business trends, and recommend corrective actions where required.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • 5+ years of experience in HORECA, Food Service, Institutional Sales, FMCG or a related B2B sales environment.
  • Strong experience in territory management and new business acquisition.
  • Existing relationships with HORECA customers and knowledge of the local market will be an advantage.
  • Experience managing distributors, dealers or channel partners.
  • Strong commercial understanding with good negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong networking, communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable sales plans.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing or Business Management will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant experience in the FMCG, Food & Beverage, Food Service, Consumer Products or allied industries.
